How billing works

Is yearly or monthly billing better for us?

Yearly billing costs exactly half of twelve monthly payments, which is why it is preselected. Monthly billing suits teams that are still testing their volume. Both include the same features and limits.

What happens when we upgrade?

The new plan starts right away and the prorated difference for the rest of the current period is charged immediately to the card on file. Your limits rise as soon as that payment succeeds. Moving from monthly to yearly works the same way.

What happens when we downgrade?

A downgrade takes effect at the end of the paid period. You keep the higher plan until then and nothing is credited back for the remaining days.

How do we cancel?

Cancel anytime from the billing portal inside the dashboard, without writing to anyone. Cancelling stops the next renewal and your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Do you offer refunds?

Payments are final. We refund only a duplicate charge, a proven unauthorized charge or a total failure of the service, as described in the refund policy. Try the free demo before you buy to see exactly how splits, the ledger and payouts work.

Do you take a cut of each payment?

No. FractionalPay charges a flat subscription and no transaction fees. Your payment operator charges its own processing and payout fees exactly as it does today, on your own account.

What if our flow goes above 10 million USD a month?

Scale workspaces add a flow add-on in the billing portal. It joins the same subscription and raises the monthly flow limit right away, with no sales call.

Do we get invoices, and in which currency?

Every payment produces an invoice that you download from the billing portal, with your company name and tax ID if you add them. Prices and invoices are in USD.

What counts toward the flow limit?

The gross amount of payments processed by your split rules in the billing period. Deleting a rule or a beneficiary never lowers the meter, and it resets with the next billing period. You see the meter in the dashboard and get a notice at 80 percent.
